As you may know from a previous post called “What To Do With A Big Beige Room”, I have some decorating space to fill in my living room. Since I am working in neutral colors, I am trying to add interest with texture. I really like things I see at Restoration Hardware, so I am trying to go with an “Old World” or antique look. Here are some recent finds from Goodwill.
I can’t decide if I want to leave them alone, or paint or distress them more. I am trying to get away from the browns, tans, and golds, and add more grays. So here is the same photo in black and white.
So what do you think? Should I leave it alone, or “gray” it up? Whitewash? I think I will ponder this a bit. Any advice or suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks!
